At the moment I cannot recall the name or director of the documentary but it was about kids and FASHION and how it becomes important to them even at a very young age. The documentary interview several kids and there parents asking them about money and clothes. Some kids would pressure there parents into buying them fashions that they could not afford or get jobs just to support there image to appeal and fit in to a certain group, and appear to be a certain way towards there peers. </p><p>Personally , when I was in school what people wore was not that important. But as the generations develop it seams that fashion and money is the main focus. I love, love, love fashion but I would never promote children, or anyone to become obsessed with it. In present times kids get teased for not having a <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">certain</span> brand name jeans or tennis shoes. This is unacceptable. </p><p>Now, I don't like to blame the media because I feel that people are <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">responsible</span> for their and their <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">children's</span> actions, I think the media has a big thing to do with how little children view there personal image. Image is everything, and very <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">important</span> but children of <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">elementary</span> and middle school ages should not even have to think about it... But how do we solve this <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">problem</span> when the people on the TV are the ones thy look up to. You can't ask the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">celebrities</span> to change there image, or clothes, or anything <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">else</span> because it how they represent and market themselves. To fix this, it is the parents, and school <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">responsibility</span> to teach there children the value of people, the value of money, and the value of image. Now before the 2009 fashion show hit the TV screen it never even crossed my mind that the designer/creator/founder of Victoria's Secret never showed there face to the public. Now I know most of you think the designer is a man, maybe a woman? Who knows? Why is this? And will the founder of this multi billion dollar industry remain a secret? </p><p>Over my studies in the FASHION industry I have learned that some designers do not name there brand/label after them because of hopes of selling the business in the future. Could this be the case with VS? Again, Who knows? Or will we ever?</p><p>On a personal note, I think that VS was created by either a little old woman in some small town in East Texas who lives in a small house on a small 50 acres farm with her barn animals. She loves living her simple paparazzi free life and always intended to keep it that way no matter how big the business got. She probably didn't even expect it to get that big. But now she lets her grandchildren run the business and enjoys her retirement with her loyal husband Bill. lol :)</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>Thats all, </p><p>K. But if your like me, clothes are more than just a way to cover a naked body but FASHION. To me FASHION is more than just a way to fit in and look cool or acceptable among your peers but a way to express yourself, your stlye, your personality, your beliefs, the refelections of your FASHION are a refelction of you inside and out. </div>
<br /><div> My definition of FASHION is everything you can think of rolled into one. When you first look at someone you automatically have an opionon of what kind of person you think they are. Sometimes a negative judgement, sometimes postive, but a judgement. Well how do you communicate with a person your entire being from just first impressions. If you notice it or not you communicate with others everyday, all day with out even saying a word to them. You persona, image, clothes, style, hair, skin, are all forms of nonverbal communication to the people around you.
